Hello Reader,
Did you see my last email?
It’s official. I’m in summer mode.
And listen, I’m not even pretending otherwise.
This is the season where I remind myself that business can still be bold and joyful. That money can still be made without running myself ragged. And that events? Are the vibe right now.
Especially here in Chicago. Because if you’ve ever been here in the summer, then you know.
It’s not just a season—it’s a celebration.
The lakefront is full. The patios are packed. Rooftops, festivals, block parties, boat days—it’s giving “what excuse?” Because we’ve all spent the rest of the year hiding from the cold and now everyone’s calendar looks like:
“How many events can I fit into one weekend without breaking a sweat or FOMO?”
And that, Reader, is exactly why I chose events as the focus this month.
Right Now, Events Matter
If you’re building a brand, leading a business, or gathering a community—then events are no longer optional.
They’re essential.
From client retreats and launch parties to virtual summits and immersive pop-ups, events are where connection meets credibility.
They bring your brand to life.
They make your people feel something.
And they move your mission from words to real-world experience.
But here’s the catch:
Events are evolving fast.
Even Zoom is jumping on the immersive train—rolling out full-on virtual environments to keep up.
So if you're hosting events and still thinking it’s “just a webinar” or event “just a summit,” you’re missing the opportunity to turn those moments into movement.
So Here’s What I’m Up To This Month:
✨ JUNE 10 – World Building Expo on GoBrunch
I’ve got a booth and a talk lined up—both inside one of the most creative virtual platforms out there: GoBrunch
I'll be walking through the legal layers of immersive events (think digital venues, branded experiences, and online community spaces that feel real and protected).
And yes—there’ll be resources. There’ll be gems. There may even be digital swag. (Because I don't do boring.)
✨ Legal + Logistics Trainings for Experience Builders and Hosts
From the first invite to the final thank-you, you need more than a run-of-show.
You need your bases covered. I’m teaching you how to:
- Trademark your event name
- Copyright your visuals and materials
- Draft contracts that actually protect your risks
- Navigate working with collaborators, speakers, vendors, and attendees
Because Events Are Magic...Until They’re Not.
And I say that with love. Because I’ve seen what happens when the mic cuts out, the venue flakes, or the weather turns wild. I’ve seen online platforms crash. I’ve seen audience screenshots go viral when they weren’t supposed to.
Point is—you’ve got to be ready.
Whether you’re hosting in person or online, stuff happens. And if your experience is the gift, your legal protection is the wrapping that keeps it whole.
We’re going to talk about all of that. Because this summer, I want you hosting boldly, flowing with clarity, and building spaces that not only leave people better than you found them, but that are forever memorable.
